Learn to Play
Borrowing from the USA Hockey manual, the "Learn to Play" curriculum is designed to teach beginner hockey players the fundamentals of skating within the context of the sport of hockey. Our mission is to emphasize fun, friendship, and skill development.
Sessions are designed to meet the needs of a range of players. It’s important for these players to become comfortable on the ice and that they work to hone the basics of hockey stance, stride, knee bend, and use of edges that will serve as the foundation of their future success on the ice.
The program is designed to group players within similar ages and skill sets to better facilitate the mastery of the FUNdamentals of the sport of hockey.

Equipment Needed
One of the biggest thrills for a new youth hockey player is getting to put on their equipment. Creating a safe environment for families to develop a love for hockey is integral to the Learn to Play program and the first step in doing so is providing all participants with head-to-toe equipment. Participants in this program must be properly fitted with equipment.
